British Association of Women Police (BAWP)
This national organisation embraces women of all ranks and grades within the police and police staff. It gives women a voice, helps raise awareness of the issues affecting women and offers a framework of female support.
Within Hertfordshire, local members provide officers and staff with an accessible network for discussing and dealing with particular career or life issues. It can be anything from equal opportunities to family-friendly working practices.

Keystone
The group was set up in 2001 to provide an internal network for local gay staff and officers. Keystone works on the ground to make Hertfordshire a safe, supportive and fair working environment for gay employees.
Now an established networking resource, fully supported at the highest management level, Keystone provides advice and practical assistance on any important issues. It also works to improve working practices, eliminate discrimination and influence new policy development.
And as a result, an awareness of gay issues and perspectives is taking root amongst the force. There is still more to do, but with the help of Keystone, attitudes to victimisation, unfair treatment and career prospects are changing.

Hertfordshire Association of Muslim Police (HAMP) Muslim support group
HAMP aims to assist Muslims at work with prayer, fasting and give them an opportunity to raise any concerns that they may have within their working environment.
It also helps Hertfordshire Constabulary understand the issues faced by Muslim staff on a day to day basis.

Christian Police Association (CPA)
The Christian Police Association (CPA) supports all police officers and police staff whether they would consider themselves a Christian or are just interested in Christianity.
Branch members keep in touch through emails and occasional meetings. We provide an online prayer group and send an email every few weeks containing items for prayer and a short bible study designed to help us to think about our relationship with God in the workplace. With over 100 members this group is offered an informal support network designed for likeminded people across the constabulary.
