Eligibility for becoming a special constable is much the same as for a regular officer. So there's no upper age limit for applying, but you do need to be at least 17½ and 18 by the time of admission.
You need to either be a UK or EC/EEA citizen or a resident with unrestricted right to live and work in the UK. And for most roles, you'll require a full, clean driving licence. Your general health, fitness and eyesight also need to be up to standard. If you have any questions, you should find all the answers on our site.
