Constables
In Herts, you'll always be seen. That's because we'll give you a clear career path, individual support and personal development from day one. More than that, we'll make sure you get recognised for the work you do. Giving you the right training for your specific needs, career progression at the pace you want and, of course, the opportunity to make a real name for yourself in no time at all.
As a Constable with us, you'll benefit from some of the most tailored training and personal support out there. Plus, you'll be able to contribute on a broader scale – whilst knowing that everything you do is driven by the needs of our local communities. Add to this the opportunities for faster career progression (with us you can apply for the National Trainee Investigator programme straight away, along with other specialities) and you'll begin to see why this is such an attractive prospect.
We have opportunities available across a range of teams. You could join the Tasking and Co-ordination function, which includes the Intelligence Unit, Source Management Unit, Tactical Team, Tactical CID and the Logistics and Events Unit. You'll help enforce the National Intelligence Model and make sure we have the right resources in the right place at the right time to support it.
Or you could become part of the Territorial Operations Unit and help provide round-the-clock policing of the force's nine crime and disorder reduction partnerships. Joining either the Intervention Team, Professional Development Unit, Road Policing Unit or Custody Unit, you'll act as the primary response unit for any major or critical incidents and provide an immediate response to public calls.
Alternatively you could choose to enter one of our Partnership teams, and play an integral role in reducing crime and dealing with anti-social behaviour. As part of our Neighbourhood Policing team, you'll help resolve quality of life issues for individuals and community groups across the county.
Whatever area of the force you choose to move into, you can be sure that you'll always be seen.
