Communications Operators

Communications Operators know how to think on their feet

Our team of Communications Operators truly come from all walks of life. The one thing they have in common is the vital role they play – they’re the first point of contact for anyone who needs help.

Our Force Call Centre is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Here’s where our Communications Operators take and make around 3,000 calls every day.

Join them, and you’ll deal with a wide range of issues, problems and questions from members of the public and even the police themselves. Answering emergency and non-emergency calls, you’ll be the first point of contact who prioritises each incident and directs the police resources. If you’ve got good listening skills, and you thrive on teamwork and great colleagues, you’ll find it’s one of the most rewarding jobs around.
