Police Community Volunteers

Police Community Volunteers give us whatever time they can spare

There are so many reasons why people choose to volunteer some of their time to become a Police Community Volunteer. Some see it as a career ‘taster’, while others want to learn new skills and enhance their CV. Still more see it as an opportunity to meet new people. What all of them experience is fantastic training and the chance to handle a huge variety of tasks, from monitoring CCTV footage to handling admin or photographing graffiti.

It’s both varied and unique as a volunteer opportunity. Unlike our Special Constables, you won’t need to commit to certain hours, so you can give back as much as you want. All the while you’ll be making a real difference within your own community, and keeping your county safe.
